Glenwood is proud to be one of Arkansas’ newest Main Street communities, joining a statewide network dedicated to revitalizing downtowns, growing local economies, and preserving our unique heritage.
We are a community driven Nonprofit 501(c)(3) group dedicated to revitalizing Glenwood's historic downtown. By uniting residents, businesses, and volunteers we are working with Main Street Arkansas to:
-Enhance community events
-Beautify and strengthen our downtown
-Promote and support local businesses
-Create inviting public spaces for connection and celebration
-Build lasting partnerships between residents, entrepreneurs, and city leadership
What is Main Street Arkansas?
Since 1984, Main Street Arkansas has helped communities across the state reimagine and reinvest in their downtowns. Through the proven Four-Point Approach®—focusing on Organization, Promotion, Design, and Economic Vitality—local programs like ours have strengthened small businesses, preserved historic character, and created vibrant gathering spaces. Collectively, these efforts have generated billions in reinvestment and created hundreds of thousands of jobs across the country.
By joining this movement, Glenwood gains access to the same proven tools, technical support, and opportunities that have transformed downtowns across Arkansas and the nation.

Our meetings are held the last Wednesday of the month from 12-1 p.m. at the Mercantile On Broadway and are always open to the public. If planning to attend a meeting please reach out to us to make sure we are meeting that month.
